One of many initiatives carried out by Samarthanam was making the Indian Railways and its station accessible for all. Samarthanam partnered with the Indian Railways approached us to document the story of their successful initiative of making travel easy for people with disabilities.
Samarthanam is a Non-for-profit organization, that addresses the needs of people with visual impairment, the under privileged and people with other disabilities.
One of many initiatives that they had undertaken is making the Indian Railways and its stations accessible for all. This included braille signboards, accessible ramps and other facilities to ease out the travel for people with disabilities.
